My blog experience

Hello everyone, today I have to write about my long blog experience. I think it’s hard to explain. I guess there are two reasons, a good one and a bad one. First, the good reason; I think that writing blogs it’s a very good exercise for thinking in english, to practice grammar and a lot of things that makes that you improve your english skills. I’m trying to give an “objective” opinion and not my personal vision about write blogs. Now, the bad reason; I don't like English!!! Really I prefer to learn other languages, and really I hate the political strategy that means that people around the world must know english. English it’s not the most important language to me, first I prefer learn Mapudungún, Aymara or Guaraní. To me this is a very important critique to learn english language. I think it’s important that everything we learn has to be useful for our future and I think that I won’t need English language for my future or I’ll try to don’t need it.
However, I couldn’t say that blogging experience didn’t help me to improve my English skills, because it’s very good to practice, in fact I could remember a lot of things that I forgot about writing in English that I learnt at the school.
Certainly I think that writing blogs is a nice method, but sometimes it’s a little boring, this thing sometimes happens because the topics that the teacher propose are a little boring or (like this case) the post could be too extensive. Regards I propose that in other blog experiences, students could choose the topic or make short posts by example to make the blogs experience less heavy, especially for the people that don’t like English.
In my career, I could choose what subjects I want and I think that it’s a very good way, choose that I want to learn and I think that English must be the same form, I really think that.

My ideal job

Hello, everybody. Today I'm going to talk about my ideal job. Well, when I start thinking about my ideal job, I couldn't think about the place or institution that I would like to work, but certainly I know what I want to do. I would like to work in poor neighborhoods, helping people in a couple of ways to improve their life skills. Related with this, there's a government program called 'Servicio País' where two professionals, go to distant cities to work with people that need support in big troubles that communities have. This two professionals, must had studied different careers, for each one could help in different ways to resolve the problems.

To enter 'Servicio País' you have to postulate in the Foundation for the overcoming of the poverty and the conditions are that you have to have an academic degree (psychologyst, sociologyst, public administrator, etc.) and have the desire to work along two years far away from your home, family and friends. Moreover, you must be a proactive person, with desires to work in problematic contexts and without intentions to have a great salary.

I would be good at this job because of I could know beautiful places, work with interesting and very different people and principally because of with a partner we could make a real contribution to the people.

I think that the most difficult thing that I have to pass for get this job is that a lot of people postulate to 'Servicio País', then I could be chosen or not according to an interview and my achievements along my life, but it's a lot of good candidates! In spite of this, I would like to get this job, I hope one day I could.

That's all Good Bye everyone.

Ken Robinson Request

Hello people. Today I'm going to comment the conference by Ken Robinson about creativity and it relation with the actual education systems.

First, Robinson starts talking about the world that we live and the great ability that kids have, and how adult people could help kids to kill their creativity (because they make mistakes) or they could help them to be more creative. In fact, with a funny example (Shakespeare as a child) Robinson explains that adult people must trust in the kids.
Another important point that Robinson highlights is the structure of education systems around the world. All of them have the same hierarchy about the subjects (because of industrialization). First are Maths and Language and at the end is Music, Arts or Dance.
Finally Robinson makes a description about intelligence giving three important characteristics that it’s important to consider and develop. These are that intelligence are always diverse, dynamic and distinct.
According to Robinson it’s necessary know this topics about intelligence to make a good job helping kids to be creative people and, this way, work in creativity by the future, having new concepts about human ecology to make a better society.
Maybe Robinson it’s a visionary respecting to the future of our society, in my opinion a man that thinks very well about the development of the human mind.
That’s all, See you!

Institutional Analysis: What a great subject!

Hello, today I'm going to talk about my favourite subject. I'm taking five subjects this term, but without a doubt my favourite subject is Institutional Analysis. It's an optative subject from the educational line in psychology, but I think that's a transverse matter in psychology. The teacher who lectures the subject is called Horacio Foladori. He's an argentinian psychoanalyst and I think that He's a wonderful teacher.
The reason why I like best this subject is by the topics that we study and the very interesting method of Institutional Analysis. This method proposes two principal rules. The former is that institutions are necessary for the human society and the latter is that always exists a conflict between "the instituted" and "The instituting thing", because this clash creates new institutions, destroys it, and makes that society evolves. I think that any people that wants for work in places with groups, own laws and wants to help societies, they must know a lot things that institutional analysis do. That's all, and I hope that one day you read something about this subject, Bye.

First: Not in Chile

The future is uncertainly and the mine too. I really have a lot of ideas for the future. There's some topic that I'll like to work and develop, but the most important to me in this moment is where. I'm so interested in community education and there's a special country that have an important develop in the topic: Cuba. By the same, in five years I hope to be in Cuba, in the University of La Habana learning about their particular methods. Probably, at the same time, I'm going to be working in themes about education and poverty, themes related with the communities development and their self-sufficience.

Moreover In five years probably I'll make my own family (I think that 27 years old it's a apropiate age for that) or at least have a child. To me is so important to know so much about the educational problems in latin america and I guess to know along the next five years had known differents perspectives in differnet countries in latin america.

Finally I really hope to be doing what I want, working for the people of our continent, our language and our reality, absolutely different of US ,Europe or Asia, here in the "continent in ways of development".

Sigmund Freud: The psychological thinking of the S. XX

Wow, It's so difficult to say who's the best in my area. Maybe because my area is so big. But if we ask for people, the most known in my area could be Sigmund Freud. He was born in Frieberg, Austria in 1856. Originally Freud was a doctor and studied with psyquiatrist as Charcot and Breuer, and learned about topics like hysteria or psychosis and their catartic methods. Nevertheless Freud didn't follow the old methods, and developed a new method for curying Neurosis and Hysteria, the "speaking method". From the researches about his pacients, Freud could develop all a new theory about the human mind (a new theory about the estructure and working ways of the mind).

The Freud theories about human mind has been criticized for a lot of people (philosophers, scientists, psychologysts, etc.) and in spite of the critiques, the Freud's thinking still have a great influence in the society study, not just from psychology, but sociology, anthropology and philosophy too. I think that's the most important thing about Freud because his thinking keeps being studied y considered when social scientist thinks about society.

Studying Psychology

When I think Why am I studying psychology? I think that I could say two important things: The first is that at the beginning I wasn't too sure that it was my best choose. I could have chosen another career but when I started studying I found some topics, subjects and things to do that really likes me. Moreover, being psychologyst I could work in a lot of different places and work in a lot of different problems. I think that psychology developed my social responsability and that is so important to me.
Psychologyst can help people to a lot of things from help to people reparing their personal problems to help to communities resolving their political problems. Exists psychologysts that helps to improve educational levels in some schools too and many others (but I think that these psychologyst don't help to society too much) that work in companies selecting workers.
In the future, I think that the most important thing that psychologysts need, it's help for their projects and investigations. There is a lot of great ideas that could help to do a better society, but because most of the projects don't have comercial objectives, that projects are rejected. In this way, Psychologysts needs a change in the actual economical thinking.
Finally, along the career, I have had a lot of favourite subjects but if I choose my favourite three I could say: Delevopment Psychology, Social History of Chile and Educational Psychology.

Dancing Rock n' Roll : The Best Photo

I can't remember exactly who took the photo, I think that was a classmate's mom. I was with her, and in that moment I couldn't suppose that she would be my girlfriend. In that moment, she liked me and for the school we have too prepare a coreograph. I was on third grade and she was my classmate. It happened 13 years ago, at mother's day and our teacher wanted to make a great spectacle. Then she decided that we had to dance rock n' roll.
Specifically, the photo shows me dancing with Daniela, my actual girlfriend. There, I'm on my knees, holding her hand and she is stood. She's smiling, but something very funny is that when you look her smile, you can see that she don't have a teeth! When we see that photo together, we exploded laughing!
This photo likes me very much because it reminds me a lot of good moments of my chilhood and school, and when we look the photo (me and Daniela) we still explode laughing and we talk a lot of time of the school time, our classmates, teachers, etc.

The ISPP website

The ISPP (International Society of Political Psychology) is an asociation that pretends to establish a community of scholars and concerned individuals in universities, government, the communications media, and elsewhere, who have scientific and practical interests in examining the relationship between political and psychological phenomena; For this, the ISPP make projects at several countries and publishes it in his website, and for this same website supports communication with people from differents places.
For some psychology students, political psychology is a wonderful topic, so interesting and important, for psychology's development and this is a very important topic to me. This website I found it two years ago when I read some articles of political psychology for my courses and wanted to know more about this, so I found the ISPP website looking for in the university's page about interesting websites for psychologists.
Really I just visit sometimes the site because it's not a site useful for my courses at the university, but when I have a little time I visit the site and read the last news about researches, theories or encounters about this interesting topic. If you like the political psychology I'm going to give you the link from this great asociation... Goodbye.

My favourite piece of technology: My pocket pc

Last christmas, my mother gave me a strange thing... a pocket pc. Really I didn't know what was that but little by little I explored that and now I think....It's wonderful. You can do a lot of things with it. It's touch screen, and has its own operative system: pocket windows! Moreover, my pocket is so comfortable and I can use it like a mp3 player, watch videos, write docs, navigate on the web, play some games, It's almost a computer.
Maybe, the only problem is that the few memory that the pocket pc support...just 64 mb! and today 64 mb means nothing compared with the resources that actual programs need, by the same, I don't use my pocket pc a lot because it's not useful for the "day a day". Instead of the few memory, my pocket pc is my favourite piece of technology. For a lot of people, the pocket pc's are really unknown but here I left a photo for you know this wonderfull object.
